The Phone app on your iPhone hosts a wealth of functionality, displaying call logs is one of them. That’s right, you can not only place a call and check your contacts from within the app, but also see a list of recent calls.

View contacts in the Phone app

If you have been using the Contacts app for looking up a phone number or calling the corresponding contact, you have been using your iPhone the hard way!

Banish that Contacts app into a folder, where it belongs. You probably won’t need it after following this guide.

All important features that relate to contacts can also be found in the Phone app, tap the “Contacts” tab at the bottom of the screen to view a list of all currently stored contacts.
Tap individual contacts in the list to get a detailed view including all of their related information.

From here, you can call contacts by tapping their phone number.
